Come Into Calm

Feeling called to slow down and find a moment of peace for yourself this month…?

I know I am!

The transition into late Fall often brings with it a pull to find moments of quiet, a desire to retreat inward to reflect, and to listen closer to ways your body is “talking to you.” And now, more than ever, we need to bring more peace into our lives and our communities.

After months of doing, giving, and moving, our nervous systems are ready for a softer rhythm… a slower pace. I thought we could work with the theme of Come Into Calm as a reminder to give ourselves permission to take care of our nervous system. We can do this by prioritizing the practices that connect us to our inner chill mode.

I mean, what does calm even look or feel like, right?!

In Yoga and Ayurveda, this is a time to prioritize soothing the body and clearing the mind—which we will do through the deeper study of the throat chakra, Vishuddha, the energetic center of communication, speaking truth, and self-expression. It is also a part of the body that the vagus nerve passes through. We will learn ways to stimulate the vagus nerve (the neuro-network of information that goes from the brain to all the major organs of the body- it passes through the throat area!). Also, we will intentionally find moments in our practices to slow down a bit.

When the throat chakra is balanced, we feel calm and clear. Our words flow with ease, our breath feels spacious, and our inner and outer worlds align.

But when it’s off balance…? We might notice tightness in the throat, voice is crackly, or we have trouble speaking our truth. We might even lose touch with the sound of our own inner voice. The one that’s guiding us with a sense of knowing everything is going to be alright… even through the hard stuff.

This month, we’ll explore ways to come into calm—to find that gentle rhythm of breath and truth that brings steadiness from within.

Here’s how you can join in:

~~> Virtual Yoga Deep Dive: We’ll focus on practices to soften the jaw, open the throat, and listen inward.
~~> Sedona In-Person Classes: Experience calm through meditation, intention based movement, and creating sound with certain breathwork practices.

~~> Ayurvedic Sessions: Begin (or continue) your journey to feeling really good in your body with 1-1 Ayurvedic sessions that will help you find moments of retreat for yourself each day.

~~> [NEW] Sedona Retreat: Come retreat in the Sedona to connect you back to your inner most calm…

Calm isn’t found by just silencing yourself—it’s found by giving yourself time to listen and hear your higher Self, the part of you that know knows your health is essential to your everyday wellness.

I can’t wait to guide you into a space of clarity and calm this month!
