Feel like a hot mess?
Ever feel like you’re a hot mess somedays? Like dumpster fire– out of control and kinda messy?
The mind is scattered and ping ponging between the to-do list and some hard conversation you just had? Unclear where you left your phone and you’re already 10 mins late? Your body is both exhausted and has pent-up energy you don’t know what to do with?
Mmmmh, I know that feeling. These moments don’t happen as often as they used to, but they definitely still happen from time to time.
So, this is where I just allow myself to be a hot mess for a minute. I might need a good cry. I might need to jump around and shake it out.
Sometimes I even need a little scream sesh. Eek, I know! It feels really good sometimes.
I would like to invite you to appreciate your moments of feeling messy and know it’s just a moment in time. Life is for REAL hard right now for SO many of us. We can appreciate where we are without pretending everything is wonderful. But then, come back the next healthy habit that gets you into chill-centered mode.
That might be a home cooked meal with your partner or friend. Could be getting out for a sunset hike with your furry-child. Or simply getting into bed a little earlier to prioritize a good night’s sleep and wake up more refreshed.
Let the moments of hot mess be what they are, a moment in time. And then course correct with the powerful practices of Yoga & Ayurveda. Join me for both in-person and virtual offerings to talk through these practices.
We can be a little messy together. This month’s Virtual Deep Dive is going to be weaving in some ways to address that messiness and prioritize getting on the mat each day. Also, if you need a body reset from the crazy of life, come see me in Sedona for a personalized Yoga & Ayurvedic retreat. Dates for 2027 are now open.
I would love to work with you this month.
Best wishes,
Nicole
Enjoy that cookie ~
Here is your recommended healthy habit for this month: enjoy every crumb of that delicious holiday cookie. Especially the one you made yourself to take to the holiday party.
I won’t lie, when things feel out of control and those eek moments arrive, a cookie helps. It does. For realz.
My stipulation (for myself), is that it’s always gonna be homemade and healthy ingredients. I grew up with fresh cookie dough in the fridge. My mom would always bake fresh chocolate chip cookies anytime things got hard for me or my sister. It’s always such a sweet memory for me and I like now knowing that craving something sweet is balancing to the body (and mind).
When life throws you some punches, the body will crave the taste of sweet. This could be sweets like honey or dates, healthy fats like coconut oil or ghee, and even animal products like warmed milk or bone broth stew. These foods can calm the nervous system and bring a moment of peace. Cause who wouldn’t pause for a moment to really enjoy a delicious cookie? Sometimes peace is in the pause… for the cookie.
Need a healthy (and delicious- duh) cookie recipe?… Well I have just the one for you. It’s guiltless. You can’t get better than that. Check out the recipe below ;)
So enjoy the homemade cookie and report back.
