Ginger Coconut Tea
The Fall season is upon us. This is a time where we are going to get more cold and dry in our bodies. To keep ourselves balanced, it’s great to keep our digestion up and hydrate the body as much as you can to prepare for the change of season. Try this lovely elixir and see how it makes your body feel.
What you will need:
1 medium sized ginger root (main shoot with several fingers)
½ c coconut water
¼ c aloe juice (Aloe Gold is my fav)
Crack of celtic or himalayan sea salt
How you make it:
In small sauce pan, make ginger root tea by washing and slicing ginger and boiling in 4 cups of water for 10 mins (with the lid on… makes it more potent). Let cool for 20 mins. I like to make it first thing in the morning and then leave it on the stove all day. Then I’ll add it to other elixirs throughout the day as well. Take ½ c of ginger tea, add coconut water, aloe juice, and salt. You can enjoy this slightly warm or room temp (both delish). Feel free to add anything else to the tea that sounds good. Sometimes I’ll add some mint.
Enjoy the bevi while you take a moment for yourself during the day to feel relaxed and take in how the tea makes you feel.
If the ginger is too much for your system, try subbing out for mint tea (boil a handful of fresh mint in water for 10 mins).
